Congratulations Kado. I found this an interesting story as I have never read a story specifically about a person with a disability and come to think of it, any poetry either. I'm sure there are some out there, though.
I had a read, PM, and I was surprised when she said of the anthologies: Authors often donate their royalties to the project.
Since it's apparent that none of us have had a whiff of a royalty, I was astonished by that statement and I was tempted to comment about it. But I decided not to embarrass her by publicly challenging what she'd said!
I think most of us probably do have royalties, they just haven't reached the minimum level for payment.
But yes, I was surprised too. As we don't get statements, or other communications on sales, there's not much to prompt us to do this. I certainly wouldn't agree to donate an unknown amount so wouldn't do it until I knew how much I might be due.
Thank you for your comments, C2. Although the story is fiction, it is based on my own experiences. Sixteen years ago, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I can’t leave home on my own and have to use a wheelchair or mobility scooter. It has made me more aware of how important disabled access is.

I'm not sure I'm happy to submit again.

Well done again, PM.
Ooh, kado. Didn't see that coming.
And to PM too - very touching.
