  • One article says that Marion Field was "born with a pen in her hand".

Is this a variation of the silver spoon syndrome?!!
  • I just got out a little book my mum gave me with psalms in and opened it at psalm 45 it says 'My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.'
  • Any baby born with a pen in its hand would either suck it or poke their own eye out or both. Then as she got older she would scribble on the walls. Only much later would she really know what to do with it. Oh, and a bit painful for the poor mum giving birth as that pen came out!
  • Remember: the pen is mightier than the sword!
  • What a witty lot you are - I have a crazy ridiculous image of a child being born holding a pen - quite a thought. Must have surprised the midwife!
  • Just be thankful Marion Field isn't a champion javelin thrower. What would she have been born holding then?
  • And what if she'd been a jockey?
  • What a pain for her mum!
