    I finished it about a week ago and have been meaning to post...anyway, it was worth reading in the end. My attitide towards the main character remained the same to the last page...I still wanted to harm him...haha. Anyway, it was a real tough cookie to begin with, but the last quater I'd say was easy, fun(ish) reading. Just White Teeth to read now...
    I recomend it if you fancy a half challange this summer.

    Truthfully, it's annoyed me that I haven't managed to make any headway - even into the first chapter. Perhaps, on your reccommendation, I'll give it another shot.

    Well done on finishing it MM.  You did better than me.  I found it just too irritating to read.  I was so disappointed as I loved White Teeth.  While I think On Beauty is a very accomplished book, really it's White Teeth that I preferred.  Hope you enjoy it.
