    A friend of mine at the writers' club, who I've mentioned before- because she couldn't get an agent, even after 7 books- has had one of these novels taken on by Penguin paperbacks. She's very happy as she got an advance.
    We're all very pleased for her success.

    That is absolutly fantastic! I used to feel green with envy when I would read messages like this...but now I can't feel anything but happiness! Wow, what a great sign! I like to believe that as writers we stand together and support each other...even of we have never met in person or even spoken!

    The advance was small, but as it's an existing hardback, I think that was the total advance she will receive.
    Like MW, she's with Robert Hale.
