  • The Dandelion Clock, Listmania on Amazon.com

“One of the best books I have ever read.”

  • Whoops - actually says, "One of the best books I have read."
  • Thanks, Dorothy.
By the way, I found these when I put my name into Amazon.com - and then I checked the lists that came up. A quick way of looking at the webpages I've quoted is to highlight, copy and paste their addresses (you might need to use the right button on your mouse).
Amazon.co.uk probably works in much the same way.
  • It's great Jay. I might try that listmania suggestion, so you can do lists and also make comments? I've done some reviews on amazon before now, but never tried doing a list.

The above link is for Scott & Scott on Amazon.com (a pair of great-looking guys, by the way - see their website Romentics). Looks like they did their own listmania. I haven't quite had the nerve to do my own!
  • Should we all read it?  Ah.  Daft question.
  • Read the reviews on Amazon.com and Amazon UK. It's a fairly serious book - my first grown-up novel - and there's not a lot of sex, if you're worried about that.
If you'd like something lighter - both literally (weight and on your pocket) and figuratively - and don't mind quite a lot of sex (written, that is), then try All About Sex. Josie and Flick (not heard much from Flick lately) both enjoyed it, and Patty passed it onto a friend to read.
You can find excerpts at http://www.bewrite.net/bookshop/excerpts.htm
and can purchase the e-book for only £1.00.
  • Congratulations, Jay... and what do you mean, "grown up"?

Are you really 12 and I've had the wrong end of the stick all along?
  • I'd do a smiley, but I can't remember how! No, The Dandelion Clock's been around since the eighties, but was published in 2002 (so never give up hope). When I was fourteen, I wrote a sci-fi novel about 300 pages long, but it ran out of steam. I started writing short stories in 1992, and they were the first thing I had published - first in magazines/online, and then in a collection.
