Do read this piece, it will reassure you that all those things we complain of - struggling for publishing deals and the hurdles put in our way. Are recognised and deplored.
  • I feel a plug coming on ... Fay Weldon wrote about 'Crying for the Moon': "It is a very careful and sensitive and likeable account ..." It's from the 'Slubberdegullion' collection.
  • What's up, Jay and Carol?  I was a sort of fan of hers in the 80s.
  • Er ...? Confused, here. By the way, I got your e-mail four times. I've been receiving some messages five times, so one's probably still on its way. Anyone know what's causing this duplication? Quintiplication???
  • Not sure what you mean TT. I've read Fay Weldon's stuff, it's okay.
I thought the piece was interesting in that, a writer like her, was finally declaring an opinion on all those things ordinary writers moan about.
    Maybe I'm wrong.
  • Quintuplication?
  • I just read it, I am depressed now.
  • Ah.  Well, it's quite the current Fay mood, if you read her latest book...
