  • Researching a novel and need to know the price of a bottle of gin in 1960. Does anyone know of any web sites where you can find historical prices - or can anyone remember the price of spirits in the 60s?
  • Well it was pre-decimal. See if Gordon's Gin are anywhere on the web, they may have something in the company archives, otherwise it could be a long search.

  • Perhaps some who has run a pub for years would remember
  • Price of a bottle of gin? A hitch up of the skirt and a packet of Capstan Full Strength round the back of the recreation hall if most of what I've read is accurate...!
  • One pound ten shillings in 1952, for Plymouth Gin. Is that any help?
