dragons and werewolves giant pythons

Comments

  • I am doing stories about these monsters so can you help me with some ideas to fight with
  • Wow - that's something different!!!
  • Perhaps Dora can help us with some ideas.
  • Er, excuse me but why should I  be knowledgeable about pythons and the like? Dog breath dragons, mmm-nnn-yes, maybe probably more up my street.

Now, give me a big, cuddly, wuggly bear to grab onto and wrestle with and .... ooops, I'm rambling.
  • Hehe, talking of the Lambton Worm, Bluehorses recorded a 'little-known Welsh version' of it a few years ago, called The Abertridwr Wyrm.  Really funny, but basically the same story.  Goes down a storm at gigs when everyone's had a few too many beers!
  • If you put "the Lambton Worm" into a google search and click on the first website (Northumberland.gov.uk), you can not only download the story but also listen to the song!
  • deadly fight, here are some websites that might come in handy for ideas, descriptions, etc.

http://www.mythicalrealm.com/ (great info on various creatures)

    http://www.monstrous.com (same as above)

    http://seventhsanctum.com/

    http://www.nine.frenchboys.net/index.php

The last two are great for names of characters and places.
  • Webbo - why can't this person's profile be viewed? (Also known as Lee maybe?)
  • Oohh Jenny, you little spy you. I'm sure you are right. I was suspicious early on but like to give people the benefit of the doubt as we are all a load of weirdos really, but it's not fair to waste our time on someone who isn't playing nicely. I'm taking my balls home! Not easy when I'm a woman.
  • Flick - Best to ignore him (or her) I think!
  • Is it possible our ranks have been infiltrated by a sane person pretending to be as barmy as the rest of us, but overdoing it?
  • as some of you may realise, lee loves trying to find out about lots of things, he has written a book called The Deadly Fight and his handicapped workshop published it for him,on a small runof course. He loves writting and is extremely serious about what he does and his talking to you all.
  • Sylvia, you have hit the proverbial nail on the head. But why do it? That I don't understand. What pleasure could it give him, just winding us up? How mean, teasing us by making us wrack our brains for inspiration to help him complete inane stories about bloodsucking vampiric pythons and flesh ripping sexy werewolves. Hey, hang on that's given me an idea.......
  • Lee - Anyone referring to themselves in the third person cannot be trusted!
  • He admitted on another thread that he was posting under two names.
  • Seems like he was messing about, no matter which name he posted under!
  • Dear jenny sorry for messing you about and other writers, I am starting to write new stories, anyone with ideas  on my new topic would be great. thanks.lee
  • A great description of dragons occurs in a Terry Pratchtt book where Lady Vimes keeps them as pets and has a notice " Do not feed coal to the dragons, it makes them over heat"
  • Isn't it the job of the writer writing the said work to use their imagination to develop their own creatures, to make them new and fresh and not pick the ideas from other writers? Do the research. You obviously have the Internet, so use it. Then use and integrate the things you learn into your own thoughts and images. If you don't know what your characters are like you won't be able to write them effectively.
