  • I did not know which category to post this under, but hopefully this will do.

    The winners of this year's Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest have been announced and their "prose" can be found at: http://www.bulwer-lytton.com. This prize challenges entrants to compose the opening sentence to the worst of all possible novels.

    I urge readers of WN and WM to read the winners and perhaps enter next year. It is appalling fun!!
  • There's an article on this in the times today. Wow, they are so funny. But it's harder than you think to write awful prose. (I hope)
  • There's also the Bad Sex Award (for writing it, not doing it). I found this for 2004:
