    I did not know which category to post this under, but hopefully this will do.

    The winners of this year's Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest have been announced and their "prose" can be found at: http://www.bulwer-lytton.com. This prize challenges entrants to compose the opening sentence to the worst of all possible novels.

    I urge readers of WN and WM to read the winners and perhaps enter next year. It is appalling fun!!

    There's an article on this in the times today. Wow, they are so funny. But it's harder than you think to write awful prose. (I hope)
