About my dad

I don't normally read The Guardian but I read somewhere a couple of weeks ago that they have a few short personal pieces in the Saturday Family Supplement that pay very well for only a few words. That very weekend someone left a copy of the supplement on the tube and I picked it up to have a look. The Playlist section caught my eye - a few paragraphs about a record and what it means to you. I got home and wrote just 150 words or so about a record that I used to sing with my dad and how, either by coincidence or perhaps the hand of fate, it was playing on the radio on the day of his funeral. They published it today! They pay £75. it's worth taking a look - other things you can contribute are a favourite family recipe or a photo that means something to you.
