I've just had my first ever acceptance for publication. :D :D :D
It's a flash fiction piece and has been accepted by a small press magazine called Random Acts of Writing. I'm really chuffed as I love the sort of thing they print. I'd plucked up the courage to send them my 'Expectations' story that won Feb's One Word Challenge, and threw in a second one while I was feeling brave. They accepted the second one, but I'd never have sent it without the confidence boost I got from the Challenge, so a big thank you to TB!

What is your story about ?
It just struck me yesterday that this thread is actually a bit bogus - this was not technically my first ever acceptance, but previous boring stuff in professional journals just never gave the sense of achievement that I got with this first piece of fiction, even though it's tiny.
