How many books with age banding on books have you seen?
I was having a look at children's books in Waterstones today, and I randomly picked new looking books in the childrens sections- older end, and looked to see how many were age banded and how.
Of those I looked at, I found 2, both different.
Both used the pricing code info box. One was above it and it was clear, the other just had 7+, much more discreet, but the book it was on would be (in my opinin) offputting to a child.
There was a family in the area choosing books (half term in a neighbouring county is this week) and they didn't look at the back of the books.
Anyone else noticed age banding yet?
