I read A Spot of Bother and really liked it. I don't remember that scene at all, so maybe things seem worse out of context. There certainly isn't much of it like that, so don't be put off reading it.

I have A Spot of Bother too and I can't remember that either heather... how strange. Perhaps it's so bad one's mind ignores it altogether.

One has to wonder how good these people are... at it... in real life. Or maybe one doesn't.
