Yes, someone wants to send me money and, for once, it’s genuine. The editor of Best Gay Romance 2009 is going to forward payment and contributor copies to me. To be honest, I’m not expecting much money. I didn’t sign a contract – the kudos of being in the anthology was enough for me - so I have no idea if this is a one-off payment, or if it’s some sort of advance &/or royalty payment. Besides, there are about twenty other authors involved, so my share isn’t likely to be a fortune. Still, as that supermarket says, every little helps …
