Phoenix Yard Books, the publisher of my forthcoming 'Coping with Chloe' for age 11+, have just got themselves a sparkling new website (actually a revamp of their previous site, now with lots of information about books, authors and artists). It's a fascinating site (OK, I 'm biased...) and well worth a browse.
For those of you who write children's books, they are accepting submissions direct from authors (email or post) as well as via agents. Submission details are on the website. I can recommend them strongly as a very good publisher to deal with. As I think I mentioned before, the standard of their editing is superb. If you look in the 'Authors and Artists' section you'll see that they've signed up the well-known children's writer Geraldine McCaughrean as well as some newer ones. You can even read about yours truly (I'm the pink elephant) and see the blurb of 'Chloe'...

Liz, I see what you mean about the dolphins. It's a problem but maybe they tell each other stories and that would do instead of writing?
