Blogs- How many TB's have them?
I couldn't decide where to place this thread. I think this is the correct spot but If I'm wrong tell me so I can edit it please.
I just wanted to check that I'm following every TB's blog. How many of us have them? I only ask because during break and lunchtime I spend my time blog reading. I'll love to be able to read more writing blogs and see if I can improve mine.

How do you expect me to blog? It took me 10 years to get onto the web!
Here's my blog. http://stforceswrittingblog.blogspot.com/
I'm now following all the blogs on this thread, or at least those that allow followers. May I ask how did you get so many? One of you lucky people have over fifty followers!

I have one but it's not really maintained much. I post a piece now and again and update what I'm up to now and again. I only set it up as a reminder to myself really. But seeing how well so many people on here keep theirs and the others I follow I feel a bit ashamed. I may re-jig and maintain from this week.
http://lilychildsfeardom.blogspot.com - horror and mystery fiction
http://micheleranger.blogspot.com - mainstream fiction, poetry, reviews and articles. This one's a bit neglected at the mo.

It's a case of perseverance and publicity StF. Follow others' blogs and they may well reciprocate. Tweet from or about your blog to reach a wider audience. Blog about everything you've written, and blog at least once a week (ignoring my neglected site above!)
When blogging/tweeting about your work make your tone of voice friendly and inviting, not boastful (not that I think you would - it's just a web fact).
Allow followers to comment, and also have the option to subscribe to your comments as well as the overall blog (widget as well as RSS).
Hope this helps.

There seem to be too many orange Bs on here, so may I mention my own home on the web at

And also my adventure in soapblogging with little plastic people at

I haven't updated recently, but I've got something planned for tomorrow on the subject of six-word stories.
Most of the posts revolve around silly poems that take five seconds to write, but I do occasionally write something lucid!
Blogs aren't just used by writers - they're an excellent medium to communicate anything over the internet.
Apart from the breast cancer blog, I don't take any of them seriously.
Some of the blogs by TBers that I've dipped into include long articles and a lot of work obviously goes into them. If I spent that length of time writing an article I'd want to be paid for it.
Actually I would love to have some more 'Followers' if those of you with Blogger blogs feel like joining up...?

Go, Granny Gold!
You are her greatest fan! (And her only fan!)
Just the one blog for now, related to my writing.
I've done most of what youve said Lily. I've a deadline of once a week each week. All comments are allowed on any of my posts. I think what I'm lacking is publicity. I will never leave TB but I think I need to widen my writing horizon. Are there any other websites, like TB, that someone would like to recommend?
Not exactly the same but a similar principle.

Another great site with discussion threads but also with a peer-to-peer review and critique format that deals with everything form Novels, to screenplays and everything in between is:

There are thousands of writing forums out there if you Google them. Whether they are for you is a matter of taking a look at what's on offer.
Hope some of this is what you were asking for.
gracias
I've given my Blog a new look for those who are interested and I've had a reply from Spook city, so my day's been great!
Nice of you to say that, Liz, but we all started from scratch and the best way to learn is to get connected. Don't be shy - everyone here is very supportive.
