Tiny success

  • I have just had a haiku published in an anthology.
Writers were asked to submit a photograph and a piece of writing.  My son-in-law gave me a beautiful photograph of a frozen waterfall in the wilderness.
    This is what I wrote:
             icy stream is silent
cushion plants cling to cold rock
             behind frozen cascade.
  • I like that, Jaycee. Where was it published?
  • Lovely haiku.
  • No such thing as a "tiny" success.

Every success is, A SUCCESS. Sound a fanfare then onward with more conjuring of words.
  • Congratulations on you success. Lovely imagery.
  • Well done Jaycee.
  • That's lovely Jaycee - well done

And just by coincidence I received a card from a friend this morning - the picture is a solitary snowdrop

    Inside the card she wrote:

    Solitary stem,
heavy head, though lashed by storms,
    Dignity defines.
  • Thank you all for the response to my haiku.  Doen't it raise the spirits if someone enjoys something you have written.  In reply to Kanagaroo, it was published in a small book called Island Reflections 2006 published by the Society of Women Writers (Tasmania).
  • Congratulations on your success. I hope you have many more.
