I have just had a haiku published in an anthology.
Writers were asked to submit a photograph and a piece of writing. My son-in-law gave me a beautiful photograph of a frozen waterfall in the wilderness.
This is what I wrote:
icy stream is silent
cushion plants cling to cold rock
behind frozen cascade.
Thank you all for the response to my haiku. Doen't it raise the spirits if someone enjoys something you have written. In reply to Kanagaroo, it was published in a small book called Island Reflections 2006 published by the Society of Women Writers (Tasmania).

Every success is, A SUCCESS. Sound a fanfare then onward with more conjuring of words.
And just by coincidence I received a card from a friend this morning - the picture is a solitary snowdrop
Inside the card she wrote:
Solitary stem,
heavy head, though lashed by storms,
Dignity defines.
