A noisy night, with the wind whistling in the wires at the side of the house, and hurling at the roof in fits of temper. Due to get up to 85kph for most of the day.
Sunny so far. What's the betting it goes downhill later? I am off to the Eye Hospital this afternoon, by bus, and the bus stops are completely unprotected.
Mr Bear took it upon himself to climb onto the roof to clean the Velux windows yesterday. I was minding my own business when his head appeared above me, and he gave a cheery greeting. As I don't do heights - I hate the mere thought of heights - he didn't get a cheery response. Anyway, windows cleaned: cue rain and hail this afternoon. Inevitable, really.
Weather okay so far, though knowing my luck it will bucket down when I'm walking along the road tonight. It's a 20 minute walk to the house where our meeting is, but I'm not driving at night yet.
Finisterre had winds of 190kph this weekend. Ours were less, but still fairly dramatic. A couple went to a market on Sunday, walked back to their car, and found themselves trapped between 2 fallen trees - a very close call.

Grim. Grey. Wet - chucking it down actually - not an end to the rain in sight. Outside work scheduled for this afternoon is somewhat buggered.
Oh. Before I forget, it's daylight too.
Right downpour over lunch time

It had stopped in time for my next adventure – coffee and cake with friends.
Sun's out.
